A weekend show curated by filmmaker and UWE academic Liz Banks and social artist Deborah Weinreb around women’s changing identity during their fifties. The exhibition features the participatory film project Red Moon Diaries, directed by Liz Banks, which draws on the everyday thoughts and emotions of women in their fifties from various cultural backgrounds in Bristol.
The launch event on Saturday 16th April from 12pm – 3pm, features the premiere screening of the film Red Moon Diaries by Liz Banks and talks from academics Estella Tincknell (UWE) and Mwenza Bell (Bristol University). There will also be a performance of the sound installation A New Currency: Older, Single Women by Dob Dob Dob. It is hoped that an audience discussion will follow as a response to the talks and art work.
